Recently I have had the great pleasure of working with a lady preparing for the Oxford half marathon. The improvements in her times were amazing, but equally as importantly was the fact that she remained injury free throughout the months of training before the race and the race itself.

Here is her story:
I went to Peter, on recommendation of two friends who had been successfully treated by him.
I had a work related tennis elbow.
Peter asked me if there was anything else causing me a problem, I did some running and told him that my hip sometimes hurt and was at present keeping me awake at nights. I had previously tried yoga and acupuncture. He cured it in the first session.
I had signed up to complete the Oxford Half Marathon in October and after 2 failed attempts to run at sub 2 hours I was now determined to do so. Peter had just finished his sport training and said that he could help me increase my speed. I saw him for 5 consecutive weeks on a Friday and then ran the Park Run on the following Saturday morning in August and September. I achieved 3 PB’s (personal bests) and took my 5k time down to 24.29 from 29.24 at the start of the year.
I completed the Oxford Half Marathon yesterday in a fabulous time of 1 hour 52 minutes and 39 seconds, an amazing 20 minutes quicker than my last attempt and definitely sub 2 hours. I felt brilliant.
What is more, today I have no aches or pains, I am walking as if I didn’t run 13.1 miles very fast (8.32 min/miles) yesterday.
Today, I have been awarded a place in the London Marathon in April 2019 and I am looking forward to working with Peter to achieve a sub 4 hour marathon.
